Little longan

I put a couple of longan seeds in a pot of black soil after eating the fruit a few months ago, and look how one of them grew!

All that with no special treatment at all. I only water it once a day and put a couple of tiny fertilizer pellets every fortnight or so. And here's a side view:

Little longan is about half a meter tall now. Sweet!

I am trying to grow longan from seed right now. This is a cool tree! I wasn't sure how long to let the seed dry before... but it seems that yours has done well after a month? nifty.

Yeah, I just got a few seeds from a co-worker and I am planning on planting them this weekend. Do you have any advice on how you got your plant to grow so nicely.
Great Post..Thank you!

Longan seeds should be planted as fresh as possible, they loss viability shortly afterwards. DO NOT allow seed to dry out...Best bet is to plant immediately after eating fruit!!!!
